Raising the Dough!

Baking fundraisers are a great way to bring people and communities together. This isn't your average bake sale, however. It’s a community-run Food and Fun Fair spearheaded by the Ceylon Association Taiping in aid of its Restoration Fund.

Not only did siblings Janessa Jaysshree Shanan (9 years old) and Kehshaant Aqil Shanan (5 years old) generously volunteer to bake cookies for the upcoming Community Food and Fun Fair, they also raised RM 100 to buy the ingredients by washing cars in their neighbourhood!

Today, with 9 days to go for the Food and Fun Fair, these generous young children began to bake the first batch of the mouthwatering cookies that will go on sale.

Quality control is a very important part of the baking process!
